Navya Andhra Telugu Association welcome to new members

NATA formed as  community organisation to represent Navya Andhra community in Canberra. We are interested to promote the values and cultures of the newly formed Andhra Pradesh in India. We are enthusiastic young team of like minds to help each other and support each other making to feel at home in the community.

Navya Andhra is a community linked with water and they have grown up in Southern and southeastern parts of India spread over across the globe through generations. Navya Andhra community primary profession is agriculture and spread across the world wherever agriculture is cultivated. The community is multilingual primarily spoken Telugu at home, which came from Sanskrit also speak Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, Oriya and Bengali languages. The current generation of community is highly educated knowledge workers settled Canberra at home coming from several countries, though the majority is from India.

Telugu speaking community spread worldwide as part of migration from centuries and still they keep in touch with roots of their origin and preserve their culture.

Executive committee decided to offer free membership for the financial year 2015-2016 due to the first year of formation. Register on our website by filling the registration form followed by the Executive committee approval you will receive welcome email to the members list of NATA Canberra.

We will never send e-mails in TO address and membership privacy will be maintained, and only logged in members can see other members on our website. Each member can post for members and interact collaboratively to be in contact and actively participate for NATA community. Members only events can be seen on the website under members privileges.

NATA offers the following support to community working with local state and federal authorities and Indian High Commission. NATA supports ACT Telangana Association(ACTTA.ORG.AU), Telugu Vaani, Indian Australian Association of Canberra(IAAC.ORG.AU) in addition to other state based Indian Associations in Canberra.

We have already formed the following groups for the benefit of the members with active coordinators

  1. Investors team: like-minded investors share the experiences and share the information
  2. Employment team: Job seekers and consultancies share the opportunities for employment
  3. Parents team: Aatmiya kalaika of parents:, visiting us from far to look after us and our kids. This team will promote activities for parents to remember their visit and memorable experiences in Australia
  4. Cultural team: To promote cultural activities and events
  5. Sports team    :  To promote sports for mingling and enjoying as a family get together like koko, kabaddi, ring, etc.
